Congratulations to Lottie, Alice and Wilbur for correctly identifying the eight different varieties which appeared in our recent apple quiz. The apples which featured in the quiz were: Howgate Wonder, Medlar, Golden Delicious, Idared, Blenheim Orange, Suntan, Grenadier and Nonpareil – all grown in the Hoskyns’ orchards near the school. The children won a delicious bottle of ‘Parrett brand’ apple juice from the North Perrott Farm Shop for their efforts. Well done!
