Year 7 at the Od Arts Festival

Our Year 7s enjoyed a brilliant morning at the Od Arts Festival in East and West Coker on Friday, where they got to take a tour of the twine works, view an exhibition, speak to performance artist Isobel Adderley and work with lean artists Megan Calver and Gabrielle Hoad. Here they are taking part in a print workshop run by Double Elephant Print Workshop. Huge thanks to Perrott parents Simon and Chantelle for such superb organisation and a fantastic event; we are so pleased to have been a part of it.

Perry Street Youth Football Club

Well done to Year 8 pupils Charlie and Jack, whose football team – the U13 Perry Street Youth Football Club – have become double champions this season by winning the Yeovil & District Division 1 League (the top division for their age group in the area) and the Division 1 Cup. Charlie plays Centre Back and Jack plays Centre Forward. It’s a remarkable achievement as it’s the first time a Perry Street Youth team has won the league since it started in 1903! Well done to you both, and to everyone in the team.

The Perrott Hill Plodders

What a line up! The Perrott Hill Plodders beat The All Stars in a thriller of a match at the North Perrott Cricket Club last week by just three runs – with the team including OPHs, past and present parents, staff and assorted hangers on. A lasagne supper in the pavilion rounded off a very enjoyable evening – our thanks to all who came to join in the fun.
